Karen has been a Trust Investment Portfolio Manager for 30 years with Marshall & Ilsley Bank, National City Bank of Minneapolis and Bank of Lansing, Michigan.

Her expertise is in fiduciary investment management, research, analysis and compliance for retirement plans, foundations, endowments, families and individuals.

Current community involvement includes serving as a Board member for Best Prep, a state-wide organization which provides educational programs in financial literacy to teachers and students from elementary through high-school.  She is a long-time volunteer and advocate for the Minnesota Literacy Council which provides basic reading, English as a Second Language and related programs to adult learners and their families.

Professional affiliations include membership in the Minnesota Planned Giving Council, Financial Women International and experience as a former instructor of Trust and Investment courses for the Minnesota Bankers Association.

Karen received her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and has been an active member in the CFA Society of Minnesota since acquiring her charter in 1990.
