Membership
CFA Minnesota (CFA MN) membership provides the knowledge, recognition and industry network you need to position yourself for career growth. Every CFA MN member service is designed to meet the specific needs of investment professionals. From luncheons and educational workshops, Career Day and our Annual Golf Outing, to the job board and the CFA MN website, membership in CFA MN offers access to services and networking on a local level.
Four basic types of membership with CFA MN are available, including Regular, Affiliate, Local and Student. A Regular member of another society may be a non-primary member of CFA MN. Regular, Affiliate and Local members may apply for Retired status upon their retirement. All CFA Charterholders, Regular and Affiliate Members of CFA MN must also be members of CFA Institute. The Local and Student member is only a member of CFA MN and has all the rights and privileges of Affiliate members. Both Affiliate and Local members have all the privileges of Regular members except the right to vote, hold office in the Society, and act as sponsors for membership. If you have no intention of becoming a CFA Charterholder, Regular or Affiliate Member of CFA Institute, Local membership is the appropriate membership type for you. Regular and affiliate members of the CFA Institute are not required to fill out this application; membership application and dues are filed through CFA Institute for your convenience.
To become a Local member, an individual must be engaged in an acceptable field of work or study as determined by the CFA MN Board or the Membership Committee and satisfy such other requirements as the CFA MN Board may impose from time to time.
