Responsibilities

Conducts fundamental credit research on fixed-income issuers using sources such as company reports and filings, credit rating agency analyses and Wall Street research. Research is focused within assigned industries and is conducted across the quality spectrum from highest quality (2a-7) through high yield (junk bond) issuers. Makes buy and sell recommendations using a relative value perspective in an actively managed total return discipline. Prepares written reports as needed and more frequently makes oral presentations to portfolio managers and traders.

Basic Qualifications
- Five to eight years of experience in investment and securities industry

Preferred Skills/Experience
- Thorough understanding of investment management
- Advanced knowledge of fixed-income research, analysis techniques and mathematical decision modeling
- Good understanding of the economy and market conditions
- Ability to work independently
- Well-developed analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
